Our Story

46 years ago, a curly headed little girl tromped about joyfully in the shadows of her beloved grandfather, eagerly listening to every morsel of gardening wisdom he had to share…

Fast forward to 2020 when the Covid pandemic altered Karrie’s path and she relocated from her small farming town of Fairfield, WA to Western WA. This is when the avid gardener she had become, fell in love with her first bouquet of dahlias at a road side stand in Skagit Valley, WA.

During the winter of 2022 Karrie returned to the Spokane area and started 250 dahlias in her 360 sq foot apartment with a BIG dream of returning to the country one day.

Karrie’s dream grew from 250 dahlias in 2022 to 1000 in 2024 . With the help of her two younger sons, she has created Mille Fleur Farm, the French translation of, “A thousand flowers”.

Mille Fleur Farm is currently hosted on a plot of land nestled along Hangman Creek in Latah Valley, just southwest of Spokane WA. Each growing season brings Karrie a bit closer to achieving her goal of being on her own land again.

Mille Fleur Farm is woman/family owned and operated, a true labor of love sprinkled with determination and perseverance!

Thank you for supporting our dream!
